This adapter allows you to connect a DSLR camera to a microscope. It is relatively cheap. The adapter gave mixed results. I was not satisfied with the image quality on my stereo microscope, but the images produced with my compound microscope were fine.

  1. Olympus objectives (and most other 160mm objectives) are not fully corrected and therefore require compensating eyepieces or projection lenses for maximum sharpness. Those camera adapters use either generic non-compensating lenses or none at all. So the solution is to use fully corrected objectives, such as the Nikon CFN series.
