Hello Curt

Welcome to the forum.

I'm not sure, but it could be a Rotifera sp. possibly Brachionus.

What your other image is of ? - I've no idea ! Perhaps some more images may be helpful.Someone else on the forum may be able to ID this for you.

Hi, Curt and all…that is a sweet image capture of a mobile/dispersal stage of a ciliate protozoan ( a peritrich ciliate).

As often encountered..the adult form is attached by a stalk (often a contractile stalk)…attached to some surface in this protozoans environment.  If conditions are right..the stalk is 'detached'..and this 'teletroach mobile form' swims about in search of new location to again growth a stalk attached to substrate.  all the best, charlie guevara
