Hello everyone. My name is Jeremy Silva and I've just purchased my first microscope. I own and run a small soil building business and I really want to investigate the quality of the soil life, compost and compost tea etc.

I plan on using my microscope often and really enjoy learning new things…. but just putting this thing together the first time was a learning experience. Everything came together in a kit but it only came with 1 slide and no slide cover so I just ordered a box and I'm reading up before I dive in head first this week. I plan on spending a lot of time with my new toy and can't wait to learn more.

I'll be reading around before starting to ask questions and i'm grateful to have found this resource.

Thanks,

Jeremy

P.S. Is there anyway to edit the title of this post… I just realized that I added an apostrophe in "lots" and it's driving me crazy!

Hi Jeremy,

Welcome to the forum. I have found that there are several regulars on this forum that are friendly and eager to offer help to someone new to the hobby. As to editing the title of a post, I can't help you with that one.

Regards,

Bill

I would like to join Bill in welcoming you to this forum.  Unfortunately, at least as far as I know, there is no way to edit the post title once it is posted.

The reason why editing of the title is not possible, is so that broken links are prevented. A change in title would result in the forum post not being found anymore as the internet address would then also change (or would not be consistent with the forum post anymore). So it is "a feature not a bug!" :-)
