G'day, mates! My name is Zoki Culo. I am from ON, Canada, studying biology at Wilfred Laurier University. I got my microscope a week ago, and I have spent pretty much 90% of my free time on it. It is that amazing.

My microscope's an Omax 40x-2000x binocular compound microscope with 30 degree siedentopf viewing head and darkfield condenser. It cost [my dad] $289.99, and it was worth every penny.

I took over 500 pictures and 100 videos so far with my USB microscope camera (it's a crummy 2MP Celestron camera, but it's good enough for me). I decided I had to do something with them, so I made an instagram profile and posted them on there. Now I found this site, and I hope you all will appreciate my pictures of the microcosm.

(And no, I'm not German, I just picked the name from a video game I like)

Welcome Dr.Oktoberfest to the forum.  Glad you are enjoying your new microscope and that you are using it with such energySmile.  May I suggest that you consider posting a link to (some of) your Instagram photomicrographs on this forum, if that is possible?  (I, for one, don't even know what Instagram is, let alone being able to see your pictures thereFrown).

Welcome to the group Dr. O!

It's always a pleasure to meet another gamer and micronut.Cool I assume TF2 is your game? I haven't played it, but it looks like fun.

I've been playing a lot of Plants Vs Zombies Garden Warfare lately. A little too much, probably, for someone in his 50's. Can't seem to get enough. My wife is a Heros and Generals fan. I'm on Origin and Steam. PM me your handle(s) and maybe we can blow stuff up together sometime. I'm not a VOIP fan though.
