I'm a chemist by trade, but I've always been interested in microscopy since I was a child. I spent a lot of time in my youth playing around with a microscope and I give my parents a lot of credit for inspiring me to pursue a career in science by introducing me to microscopy. Now that I'm a parent, I've taken it upon myself to begin to introduce my children to science via microscopy. My children are (admittedly) probably a little on the young side still and are 3 and 5 years old. My 5 year old has a great attention span and loves to do science experiments and "daddy projects" with me and my 3 year old just loves to be around us and watch and try out whatever we are doing as welll.
Anyways, we are bumbling around our new family microscope (a monocular Labomed CxL) and having a blast. I hope to share my experiences with and learn a lot from everyone else on this forum!
