Adjust focus tension on Amscope B120B

The manual says "To adjust the tension of the focus knob, first locate the black ridged tension knob on the inside of the course focusing knob."

I don't see the tension knob it's referring to. I called Amscope and after some fumbling around he just had me hold the left focus knob while I tightened the focus knob on the right, however, the manual appears to be referring to a different knob for tension adjustment.

Does anyone have experience with this scope and could tell me what to look for for adjusting the tension?

Hello rhraziel

I have no experience of your microscope, but it is quite normal to adjust the tension by doing what the Amscope rep. suggested. The knob inside the course focusing knob is for fine focus. It is usual to adjust the tension by turning the course focus knobs in opposite directions

Hope this is of help
