Re: Leitz phototube help..
These are the full components of the phototube.
Some people prefer this method since uses less optics lenses.
I love to see a comparative review of both methods.

Beautiful work Terry
Could you please tell us what paint did you use?
I imagine you used some spray painting for cars right?
Did you use a primer?
Thanks

Re: what camera lens to use for Parphocal setup?
Hello again..
I just got an Olympus zuiko 50 mm pancake.
I was wondering what are typical values used for microphotography of Depth of field and aperture?
do I have to set the lens to infinity when used with and eyepiece attached to the filter thread?
Thanks

Re: what camera lens to use for Parphocal setup?
Thanks Sarodactyl, I guess that a 0.5x or 0.75x relay lens will be closer to a 40mm lens am I correct?
Also if you have this phototubes set, could you please tell me the length of the long tube with the two screws?
I want to make a 3d printable version of the set.
Thanks

Re: what camera lens to use for Parphocal setup?
I have seen a Leitz phototube which uses a 0.32x relay lens. So will a setup with camera without lens+0,32x relay lens+10x eyepiece be equivalent to
a Camera with 40mm+10x eyepiece?
What about using an eyepiece with a widere field of view like a GF 10x/20?
Thanks.

Leitz part 162226 (Relay phototube)
Hello.
I need part 162226 to complete my phototube but I can not find any on ebay.
I managed to get the relay lens 0.32x that goes inside but I need the tube.
Can anyone that has it can share the measurements of it so I can model and print it?
I would share the 3d model.
Thanks!

Question about reticle size
Hello.
I hope that somebody can tell me what reitcle size (physical size of disc) can fit into the periplan 10x/18 (23mm) ocular
of most Leitz microscope?. Should it be 19mm or 20mm?
Thanks

Question about Phototube and reduction lenses.
Hello
I am trying to build a Leitz phototube with different parts (for a Laborlux 12).
I can't find de Leitz 162226 which is a 0.32x barlow lens I belive.
My question is, if instead of using a 10x ocular in the phototube I use a 6.3x lens
will it be equivalent to using the 0.33x?
Thanks

Basis question about infinite objectives compatibility
Hello, For what I read so far I was sure that one can not combine Infinite objective with standard 160 objectives, but I have seen several microscopes on ebay which are sold with a mixture of lenses. Such as this one combining expensive olympus infinite with some Leitz plan https://www.ebay.com/itm/...

Unidentified part... can you help?
Hello I got a budle of microscope parts with condenser, lenses, etc.
One of them I can not identify. It does not have any part number or manufacturer.
It look like part of a photo tube for camera.
Hope somebody can recognize and let me know.
Thanks!!
