I can't seem to find a condenser that originally came with the Nikon Labophot. Apparently it had a Dark Field stop you could insert into the front.

I just find applying constant pressure over 2 hours (nail polish) creates no bubbles. Plus the added weight also requires much much less polish creating a very thin layer, almost rendering it invisible. Also with the right amount there tends to be no ooze on the edges of the cover glass.

This might be a little over engineered, but it's a good excuse to practice with my printer. It presses the cover slide down while the nail polish dries into a nice thin bubble free layer. I'd like to add eye cups to my eye pieces on my Nikon Labophot. I found plenty on eBay. But im not sure on the size.

The eye peices are the ones that came with the scope.

Any info would be appreciated.

Fixed! When i purchased the scope the gentleman informed me that he upgraded the gears to brass/metal. Verified it today. I took apart the knob assembly and discovered the issue. The small focus gear came off probably due to the fact that i loosened the adjustment knob a bit to much. Anyway all good...

So i using my scope and all of a sudden while using my corse focus knob the stage just fell. Now it wont go up unles i pull it up with my hands. Is it easy to fix?

So being new to this hobby I went on ebay to look at objectives for my Nikon Labophot. So as a newbie who will upgrade his objectives slowly ($$$) in the future I've been learning about lenses. Are there any visual comparisons online that demonstrate the differences between Achro, Flou and APO in terms of what to expect? Also PLAN/PH versions of those lenses would be a great bonus too...

Only if you want it to light up . . . :) Your epi adapter should also have a tube lens as well as a half-mirror in it, to adapt it to 160mm objectives. So I'm new to all this. I found a vertical illuminator for a good price. However now I'm noticing vertical illuminators are hooked up to transformers or power supplies. Why? Is it required?
