Re: Working in an "universal condenser" for Nikon Optiphot

Maybe you can find some useful ideas from my design. The most recent version looks a little bit different, but the main idea is the same. The design has two perpendicular slots for sliders, a couple of locations for the 32mm filters, and a slot for the rotational filter. https://www.photomacrography...

Hi Saul, Great job! Best, ADi Thanks ADi ! Re: LED lighting....why the hate?

Thank you. Baurus is only 4000-4200k and 95 cri. Retro diode is 5000k and a Cree. Is one better than the other? I’m not sure what that all means so I wanted some advice. I can make with the 5000-5500K & 98CRI LED, goes up to real 27W (but you have to be careful checking heatsink temperature), for c...

Re: Leitz microscope condenser lollipop filter holder set

Thanks, good, so foam tabs shall be. I have a Leitz #400 condenser, and really liked your idea to put the darkfield stops up inside, near the original iris. Why not the lollipops? Too difficult to change, or not so critical? You are right, near the original iris is the best location. Lollipops are ...
