Re: Budget Friendly BH2 Video?
I have a BHA scope with the PM-10 sitting on the trinocular tube. I've removed only the electronics and retained the slider for the beam splitter. (I wanted to keep the eyepiece on my scope to verify parfocality easily, and yes my M43 camera is right in focus). The eyepiece I use is nothing. I tried...

Re: Budget Friendly BH2 Video?
I conduct microscopy classes for my local park district and I purchased a number of scopes as parts on ebay and made 14 working scopes out of the 20 or so total that I bought. All have trinoc heads, and most are various vintages of Olympus scopes, most being BH(A, B or C). I purchased a few KHC and ...

AO Heads
What AO heads are compatible with the Microstar series? I need to get a Mono or Trinocular head for a Microstar IV. I'm conducting some classes by Zoom and need a photo head and all I have is a binocular head. I have a feeling that not all heads are compatible.
THANKS!
THANKS!

Re: Looking for Olympus Photomicro Adapter L
Instead of the expensive Photomicro Adapter L, all you need to do is purchase a PM10A, AD, or PM6 and remove the electronics. Cost is ~ $30 on ebay. Length is the same as the PMA-L. Exactly the same...

Re: Which Microscope is this?
This is a Chinese microscope. It is a polarizing scope, that is the thing that is special about it. Good for looking at metal for stress.

Re: New Scope/Phase Contrast Question
The turret style of phase contrast condenser is MUCH easier to use than the ones that require replacing the phase condenser each time you change objectives. But, if you are using the same objective constantly, then you can save some money. When buying used, you will need to pay attention to the type...

Re: Info this Olympus Turret Condenser
What a coincidence! I just acquired a similar condenser on a BH scope that also came with 3 Hofffman objectives in pretty rough shape. But my condenser lacks the polarizing section yours has. Mine has a 1.25 condenser. In addition, my condenser lacks the alignment screws on the sides, but each plate...

Currently, I own: 1. Nikon TMD Diaphot with phase set 2. Olympus VM 1x4 stereo scope, extender base, and fiber optic illuminator 3. Hello from Columbus, OH
I am Brian Huber, recently retired. I spent my college years as a biology major, mainly in microscopy. I had the good fortune to get the position as a senior to stock and manage the new Life Sciences stockroom at Indiana State Univ. I built the stockroom from scratch and also got to select student m...
