Re: Problem with a dark field
Thank you for help! I use normal condensor, not a darkfield one. Objectives are 4x, 10x, 40x and 100x and I use 20x oculars. I know about immersion oil and I use it for 100x objective.

Problem with a dark field
Hello everyone! I decided to do dark filed microscope like here on a film On 200x the effect is good, the field is really dark and the objects are bright. Strange, 4-cellular organism?
I have found in my aquarium mud somenthing that looks as 4 cells in regular structure. I'm almost sure that it isn't air because I have seen it more than once in my aquarium. What can it be?

Re: Bacteria from an old sausage
Your sausage production sound really nice. If you want to know, this were sausages I am talking about, with 95% ham content, but they weren't dried.

Re: Bacteria from an old sausage
Oh, it can be. I was a bit confused by the size of them, bacteria are usually smaller.

Bacteria from an old sausage
I have found some small white dots on an old sausage somewhere in my fridge which I claimed to be bacterial colonies. I was right. I made some photos of them in 2000x. Do you know what type of bacteria can they be? I know it can be hard without all the identify tests.

Re: Polychaete
So what was the second one on the bottom? It's some annelid with longer parapodia than this on the top.75RR wrote:You appear to have two different worms in your video. The top one does seem to be an Aeolosoma.

Re: Polychaete
It may be the same species, but mine had those round structures with dark center. I use microscope slide with cover glass and a space between them isn't too small for such animals and it's much easier watching them. From which lake had you taken this worm?
