I believe the later Gemolite bases (VII-X) were built in China, possibly by Chlight--if not, they make or perhaps made a very passable base that is very similar and built to the same standard. Similarly, the newer Motic gem scopes have a reputation for being quite decent...

This one is a 15x K, 23mm barrell but at 73mm it is much longer than the other Wild 15x K eyepieces that I have (one of those is in the pics). It also very heavy, meaning a lot of glass inside.

Any idea what this one is?

Possibly a centering telescope for phase work? Does the black part of the barrel rotate relative to the chrome barrel? If so, that would be the focus mechanism for a CT. If it doesn't turn there, you might drip a (very) tiny bit of solvent into the relieved area and let it sit, see if it loosens up...

As a part of a very large lot of optics, mainly eyepieces, I got a few like these. No markings, except for maker Wild. They are 23mm barrell, 59mm long and seem in focus on object farther away when you look through them. Closer objects are out of focus. Never seen these before
