I'm no expert, but I would say that 2500x is way beyond the sensible resolution limit for a light microscope. I believe that 1000x is the accepted limit.

Hi John, and welcome :) Also a lifelong passionate amateur photographers. :) I have an EOS 5D4, but don't use it on my microscope. Instead I bought an EOS 4000D for this purpose. A fraction of the weight, much smaller, and an 18mp APS-C sensor. It came with a very budget 18-55 lens which I discarded...
