Thank you all very much for your time and effort in replying.

I decided to just bite the bullet and purchased the WF15X/16. Should do the job in a pinch if I run into any technical difficulty and at £16 it's not a big deal if it's not up to the job :)

Yes, I have a stage micrometer from my previous microscope.

Oh, I forgot to mention they come in WF15X/15 and WF15X/16. Would the WF15X/15 be the one to go for?

Yes, that was the plan. Exchange the 15X eyepiece, measure, and then exchange back to the regular 15X eyepieces. I use the scope for Mycology and measure spores, cystidia, etc using a streaming camera and specialist software (MycoCam, Piximétre, etc) and was just thinking of ordering the eyepiece wi...

It's a trinocular I bought from eBay. Both Brunel Microscopes and GT Vision sell it under different names. Stereo Vs Biological Microscope Eyepieces

I'm looking into buying a cheap WF15X eyepiece with reticle from AliExpress but it's described as being for a stereo microscope.

Would it work fine with my biological microscope? Are there any differences in the two???
