Hi! Yes, I have used a comparison scope. Not only do we look at bullet markings, but we also look at things like tool marks! Pieces of wood, metal, plastic, and bone that are scratched/gouged can be compared to marks that were made with a known mark to suggest similarities. I love to look at forensi...

I have not had one of those around for quite a few years but I have most of a parts manual in my possession. It looks like a simple fix, as long as you have all the pieces.
