Re: Cleaning lenses

I`m not aware of any home perfect solution, I took a look at this years ago and found out that the least mineral free water you can find will leave less residue. You can clean with alcohol but clean the alcohol residue back off with what I described. Anything not clean like the cloth can go back on ...

Re: Stereo microscope for aquatic insects, what to buy?

If you can find a good one, and I say good one, check out AO Cycloptic, I have and use one a lot for insects. You can fit this scope with a 2x barlow and have 50x. I go to my compound microscopes for anything over 50x Those were good stereo microscopes and the one I have is a keeper. Could save you ...

To call out a bully doesn`t help this forum or anyone interested in a normal conversation. Removed from the forum forever would be the best way to take care of this long problem.

Re: New microwave oven with metal rack..please advise?!

you can cook a roach a lot quicker than bouncing electrical current off of metallic objects, metal racks etc. inside a microwave oven, and your microwave oven may last a lot longer without all the extra current bouncing around off metal.

Got to remember that nothing would have ever been learned and documented if it were not for experiments in the past, and i`m saying going way back in time. History is a very important part of anything. I had several chemistry sets when I was 11,12,and 13, blew one test tube up into our white ceiling...

Boy those are really good, I was thinking I liked the darkfield better, but after looking at the actual cell structure, I think I like the first image better with relation to definable cell structure.

And I think a certain few smaller vertebrates started this path way before T Rex dinosaur days. So adaptation and evolution were the process for anything.

Some Hurricane Michael Damage:

Well I got hit by Hurricane Michael as a cat. 1 in my area, I provided a few snap shots of the tree damage to our place. We have no trees around our house, so no damage to it. The counties over to the west of me got hit with cat. 2 wind gust. I could hear boom, boom, boom from the trees hitting the ...

With that snail photo I had camera focus problem with any settings. The view through the eyepiece was at least 3 times better. I used a tactical led x800 flashlight for illumination and the camera would never focus correctly. I think I will try different types of light filters and compare the result...

I agree, looking way back in time and sealed in fossil resin. You really get a good close up of the most distance past and sealed.

Re: This Plan to Bring Back an Extinct Ice-Age Horse Species Is an Extreme Long Shot, Scientists Say

I doubt it, but let dna science continue, that battered up dna from this example of the distant past is just waiting in some form to be properly processed. I would not bet my life it can`t be done, and new dna science will continue into the future. I have no doubts you will see no end to ancient dna...

Re: This Plan to Bring Back an Extinct Ice-Age Horse Species Is an Extreme Long Shot, Scientists Say

I think I will go with what the scientist will be able to do (dna) in a few hundred years if not sooner, more than likely none of us will be around to read about it. At one time man thought nothing could replace the horse and buggy, so what will man, scientist be doing in another 100,000 years? More...

May not cause anymore nasties than is around today, people can and do die from flesh eating bacteria, just a starter. Advanced Human population and polution is a big cause of ALL or most of the problems we have today. Anything from 42,000 years ago is a lot less of this. No doubt species have been a...
