I bought a 0.5 Barlow for my Amscope SM-DG=2T Stereo scope. Does the Barlow just screw on the bottom of the lens' or do you remove the original bottom lens and replace it with the Barlow. Thanks

Welcome aboard. Dont worry about the Amscope being made in China. Their great microscopes and will last a lifetime. I have one and love it for imaging and looking though.

This is a image at 10x using my Stereo MS' Cavansite Crystals which are the blue on Stilbrite Crystals. About 14mm tall. Very rare Crystals from Poona India. The blue is Calcium Silicates and a few trace minerals. Hard to image this 3d object. i used 9 focus points and helicon focus and my Canon 450...

Close up of a slice of a Sericho Pallisite meteorite' One can see the iron- nickel matrix and the Olivine stony parts. This meteorite was found in 2017 in Kenya. Believe to be from a class 4 Asteroid. imaged at 25x Canon 450d with my Amscope Stereo. Thanks

I was going to fool around with polarizing filters. I read a article here but cant find it now. You need 2 I know and turn them to where it looks black. But is their a certain type thats best. Thanks

I bought a Amscope stereo trinocular ' it was one of their $375 models with zoom focus. It has been excellent for what I do. Good optics 'good as I will ever need. I know good optics having own Takahashi Telescopes ' Zeiss Binos ect/ Their support has been good also. They are a good buy.

Meteorite from my collection. This was found on 1941 in western Australia at Mount Egerton. Its is a Achondrite ' Aubrite ' They only make up 8% of the meteor's found. Well the biggest parts are Olvine mix in a iron nickel matrix, But their are many super small parts of other stuff i could never spell. Just goggle Pallisite Meteors and you will see. The sliced samples are Beautiful where you can see the olvine. Thanks for your comments.

My newest sample. 15x stack of 10 images ' used helicon focus' really like it for stacking. This is a stony iron pallisite meteorite one of many found in Kenya in 2017 by 2 villagers looking for their lost Camel' Over a ton was found. Rare to find holes in them.
