Re: LOMO microscope hunting for you
Possible errror correction and update. Reference is:- mikroscopfreunde-nordhessen.de/dateien/polam-311-ru.PDF So this refers to the P-311/312. It looks very similar to the 211, but has a lighting system mounted where the turret would be. There will be a lot of information on what the knobs & adjusti...

Re: LOMO microscope hunting for you
I have found this Lomo 213 manual on a German site. Reference to the site are on MicrobeHunter.
Polam-311-ru.PDF
I have downloaded a copy, but I do not know if copyright applies.
However, a search for the above should find it.
It seems comprehensive, but is in Russian cyrillic.

Re: LOMO 2.5 Objective Focusing
Very grateful for the info on the Polam 213. I have the 211, the photo is almost the spitting image. This helps me enormously. I do not have either objectives or eyepieces. I do have other 'scopes with telaugic (& cross wires) eyepieces and /160 phase contrast objectives. Hoping to find an instructi...

The lenses are almost certainly made with the strongest face on the ground (concave or convex) surface. This would prevent the cleavage planes pulling apart. I have made a cabochon from fluorite,...

Re: Another Hello from England
Thanks for the very prompt reply. Nice slide pictures, which I had seen. This is some of the stuff I will be getting into. I have seen a picture of this 'scope. The later model has a turret and a different light source system underneath the body. Probably to achieve a longer/parallel light path. The...

Re: LOMO microscope hunting for you
I am looking for information on the Lomo Polam P-211 petrological microscope. I can only find bare bone specs. I would appreciate help with operating instructions, catalogues, accessories etc.

Another Hello from England
I have several microscope, which are used on a local archeological dig, self funded, and recently took a turn towards the petrological microscope, with which I am having some difficulties. I decided to purchase a Lomo Polam P-211, lacking eyepieces & objectives etc. I am looking for a handbook, or a...
