Re: Leitz dialux 20 and Laborlux D lamphousing
Thanks Alexsander for the useful information it is strange that the leitz, which has always modified the measures of the new components to make them unusable with the previous models, has kept the same attachment of the lamp in many models such as laborlux (12 S D etc.) Dialux 20 etc. Using the merc...

Leitz dialux 20 and Laborlux D lamphousing
Hello everybody. My Laborlux D is equipped for fluerescence with the PLOEMOPACK 513.591 and its lamphouse (as shown in figure A), which should be the 102Z model with the mercury lamp and its power supply. I've never used it or turned it on, but I know it works. The reflected light is managed by the ...

Russian polarizing microscope Leningrad MP-6 (ЛЕНИНГРАД МП-6)
Hello everybody Does anyone know, have documents and information about this microscope? mp-6.jpg I found few news on the net. If I'm not mistaken the Leningrad optical factories produced LOMO microscopes, but this brand symbol is different. The history of microscope manufacturers is truly fascinatin...

Re: Leitz LK condenser filter drawer system
Hi Bogdan i saw your work on thingiverse. They're very interesting. I am looking for a comfortable filter holder to use for my condenser, I have a laborlux D with the condenser 56, I bought the LK condenser from ebay. The question is: With the condenser 56 I tried to place (with hand-made supports) ...

Re: Simple whole mounts
I have had such bad luck with the hempstead halide euparal that I have almost abandoned it. It is very loose, and even a single tiny springtail is far too thick, let alone a soil mite. The stuff leaks out and leaves large voids. Is there a way to thicken it, or is there some other mistake I am maki...

Re: Simple whole mounts
Some mites have a dark exoskeleton. These can be placed in a clearing agent, and left for a couple of days, directly from the absolute alcohol. Such a treatment will lighten the exoskeleton to such an extent that the specimen becomes more transparent. Remove as much of the clearing agent and mount ...

Re: Connecting Canon DSLR to Leitz trinocular head with all-Leitz components
Hello. I'm interested to know if anyone has used a setup with the Orthomat-W (https://www.ebay.it/itm/234103189242?ha ... Swyt9g~J9p). Can its optics be used in some way as the vario Orthomat? I'm trying to get the best setup (in terms of resolution and contrast for photographic)

hi patta, I have read some of your posts. very interesting, I will have a lot to learn from you :) yes it's true, thanks to the focus stacking the last two are not so important so I can concentrate on the color and contrast techniques that I will try as soon as I have the right accessories (my conde...

Re: New user: photomicroscopy - Leitz laborlux D - photographic catalog of insect parts
Guess then that you have to try also c), afocal over the Periplan 10x; Need to mount a standard lens on the camera, like 30 or 50mm for your m4/3, and it looks into the periplan. I have an older Leitz and that's the only way it collaborates. More glass, but also better resolution! To know you're do...

Re: New user: photomicroscopy - Leitz laborlux D - photographic catalog of insect parts
Welcome. What a nice microscope. The variables are several, not infinite. Some of them are more important than others. Anyway, success is very likely. I hope that with a little luck I will be able to realize my project. In the meantime I look at the hundreds of topics in the forum. I tried the meth...

Greetings to all forum users. first of all I apologize for my bad English. I am Antonio from Catania (Sicily, Italy) I am a former entomologist.
