Are you able to see if any files have actually been saved on the SD card on your pc?. I have an Ender3 V2 printer and the supplied micro SD card was not the best despite numerous reformats!.

Re: Thinking about 3d printer
I've ordered plenty of pla Beware, once they are open, they start to suck moisture and printing will get harder (bubbles, adhesion issues potentially). Don't open all at once (if different colors) AND don't let the filament end fly off loose. I personally found that out when nearly at the end of a ...

Re: Thinking about 3d printer
Hi Greg Do feel free to have a look at a couple of articles I did for Micscape magazine a while back. I`m no expert in 3D by any stretch but its a lot of fun. My cad software of choice (free) is DesignSpark Mechanical an excellent app. The last article I did was in Feb this year here https://www.mic...

Re: Leitz LK condenser filter drawer system
Hi Entomo I also made Bogdan's filter holder for my Laborlux S scope with LK condensor and it worked fine but soon after I came across a 56 condensor and found it easier to use with its purpose made filter slot. I 3d printed some holders like you show and have had no problems at all with darkfield o...

Interesting idea the cover slip will give that some thought although the light source would have to be much brighter of course thanks. Re: Epi illumination without Dichroic mirror maybe?
Many thanks for the tips Greg!. I don't pretend for one minute that this setup will replace a Dichroic mirror but it does give some useable illumination and fortunately I'm not playing with a $1000 scope .

Epi illumination without Dichroic mirror maybe?
Hi guys Been trying to have a go at epi illumination but I don`t have a Dichroic mirror nor can I find one the size I want so had the mad idea of trying to illuminate the sample with a 2mm ring of light using an elliptical hole at 45 degrees and a small piece of foil (the pics might describe it bett...

Hi guys
Like Michael suggested and also suggested by a friend that you can't really get true optical extinction with a circular pol filter and a linear one but two linears are needed, just waiting for one !

Polarized imaging with a stereo?
Hi guys Been enjoying doing some polarised imaging with my Leitz compound scope. I 3d printed a few bits for my scope to...

Designing an x-y platform !
Hi guys Starting to put together an idea for a 3d printed x-y platform to go with my new stereo scope. The top plate is 60mm x 60mm and just printed off the top part (Y), middle part (X) with a rack and pinion gear to superglue to the side. The base plate is next to be printed. 20210921_141957_1.jpg...

Re: Hdmi imaging anyone?
Just to add a footnote to this post, I did eventually buy the 4K hdmi camera from Hayear and also a good hdmi capture card but found the camera a huge disappointment , the imaging via direct usb connection flickered and jumped and the still shots I wanted by hdmi were not as good as my little 5meg T...

Re: [HELP] - Hayear Cameras Setup & Software
Forgot to mention that I had to use a 0.5x reduction lens with the Hayear to get similar fov but I don't think that affected anything. Hayear is probably fine for live hdmi displays on a monitor but not when using with a pc.
