thanks jimT , i have about 5 photos but all at 56x . i thought 315x would be too much . this one is good : It is very good. That is very good!... I don't feel that 315x would be too much.. You could crop the photo to show an interesting section.. What did you slice this with, if I might ask?.... BillT thanks billT , i will make another specimen at 315x and post it 8-) i sliced with just a normal really sharp razer blade .

this images was taken of parsley stem at 56x magnification
with my lomo biolam.
you can clearly see the vascular bundles , xylem,phloem, ( it took me some effort to make that thin ts section )

What is your camera setup and can you only shoot monochrome? its not monocromatic JimT ! , you can see the stomata cells stained in blue. but it appears that way for many things : 1- iam using an old lomo biolam c11. 2 - the lomo biolam is just equipped with a mirror not a light source. 3 - i dont ...

If you have potted plants try sampling the water in the drainage dish. Any mud puddle, birdbath, or pothole that fills with water can be a supply of interesting organisms. i wanna know how to grow some kind of a farm to get amoeba or paramecium basically some
of the basic protozoas (the non harmful ones) ? i know that i can find some in pond water but thats not available to me right now
