Re: Question on Leitz objectives

Hi,

if you google for:
LEITZ Image-forming and Illuminating Systems_engl.pdf
you'll find a brochure with all the information you need
esp. adjustment length of all Leitz objectives.

In case you are German speaking search for:
LEITZ Abbildende und beleuchtende Optik_1973.pdf

Re: My new microscope! Leitz SM-LUX-POL

I've got an Ortholux II and own a lot of Leitz objectives (Planachromats, Fluotars, Apochromats) without the P for Polarization on them. I made all my pictures of microcristals in polarized light with them (2,5x to 10x). I cannot compare with P objectives but my pictures look brilliant. With even da...

Re: Leitz Ortholux fluorescence microscope

Hi,

this is a Leitz Ortholux 2 and it is actually meant for 170mm objectives.
But you can use all Leitz 160mm objectives above (and including) 16x with it without any loss of quality.

Re: Leitz 1.25 condenser

Hi, the condenser your picture shows is the #600 type, the so called 'Badewanne' (bathtub condenser). It depends on your Leitz microscope whether you can put it directly into the condenser holder or not. Whether it works to swap simply the condenser head I don't know. You can get more information if...

Orthoplan & Ortholux II condenser holder

Hello,

I have red the Leitz Orthoplan and the Ortholux II have the same focussing block. I would like to know, whether the condenser holder of an Orthoplan, which I can get, would fit my Ortholux II, which I want to restore.

Re: Canon Rebel T3i and C-mount adapter

Thank you for the answers and information. I think I go for the mirrorless solution.

@ einman
I've got objectives for 170 mm tube length, because I've got an old enamel Laborlux (1968).
In the meantime I read Mr. Krebs website, I did mean parfocal instead of "focus to infinity".

Canon Rebel T3i and C-mount adapter

Hi everybody, as I wrote in my introduction I own a trinocular Leitz Laborlux with a 1x C-mount adapter. Does it make sense to connect a Canon Rebel T3i with my C-mount adapter without optics? With the adapters I found, it is impossible to focus to infinity. Is it possible to focus properly via a no...

Newbie from Germany

Hello everybody,

I'm beginning to learn microscopy.
I've got Leitz Laborlux trinocular microscopes, one with Heine condenser.
I'm interested in mineralogy and polarizing microscopy.
My actual problem is finding the best way to enable my mics for photomicrography.
