Re: Using Industrial Microscope Camera having panasonic CMOS sensor.
I was looking for similar information for video microscopy but the subject is mind-boggling to say the least. It appears I may be better to obtain a mirrorless interchangeable lens camera rather than a dedicated microscope camera. From reading at various sources it seems the dedicated cameras all ha...

Re: My microscopes
Since my January post I've obtained an American Optical series 20 trinocular and converted the illumination to LED. I was also able to obtain very reasonably the darkfield condensers (both use oil) and the phase contrast condenser with objectives. Soon I'd like to find a great microscope camera for ...

Re: Searching Cree LED for tiny dimmers
I converted the illumination on an AO series 20 using a 6W 6500K Cree button style LED and a PWM powered by an external 9v ac/dc adapter. It works fine but at 4x and 10x I have to employ the built-in ND filters as it is too bright without. This is a minor inconvenience but allows plenty of lighting ...

Re: My new Microscope
Hello, I am brand new to the forum and have the exact same Bristoline as you. I bought it used, in it's original wooden case in pristine condition around 1985 and have enjoyed it immensely. The bulbs for it are hard to find, but I've bought several from a eBay seller in France for under $6 (search f...

New on forum, late in life.
Hello to everyone. I was led to the forum by the online videos of Oliver Kim. I began microscopy as a young child in the 60's, mostly with toy microscopes and prepared slides. Though the equipment was lacking, my interests wasn't. I read lots of science and microscopy related books (no computers or ...
