Great video! Thank you for sharing.
Totally agree that these things look mesmerizing when viewing in dark field...
Are you using simple dark field stops that do not work well for 400x?

I can confirm that the washer is not on both of my 0.9 and 1.3 similar-looking Zeiss condensers. And yes, it would take some effort to flip the lens out from the stable vertical position. Regards,

Zeiss Circular Stage question

Hi, I have a question about the Zeiss circular stage below: What does the little knob (circled in red) supposed to do? It doesn't seem to do anything on mine, whether tighten or loosen, so I wonder if i would need to service my stage to get things working as they should... BTW, the horizontal slide ...

Hi Jeff,

Welcome to the forum. I'm sure you'll have a great time here!

With your other interest in old artifacts, an (additional) stereoscope is a must :)
(you'll find it very handy with fly fishing too)

Thank you Charlie, Yes, I did pumped CO2 into the tank during that time, but just from the "DIY yeast+sugar bottle" method. The "stair" plastic structure on the left, back side of the tank is the bubble dispenser that connected to 3-litter bottle of the yeast/sugar solution in the back. That was a f...

Kurt mentioned "eye candy". For some reason, I feel these images very...appetizing. Maybe from the color palettes of subject...?

I feel like reaching out, break one of the thorny sticks, and...suck on it.

Honey candy indeed :)

Wow. Even better looking diatoms now Kurt! This kind of quality has to come from mastering of both the microscope components (objectives + condenser fiddling :) ) and the way you set up the photographic system. Sorry if you had explained this somewhere on this site already, but are you using afocal ...

These worms have some prominent "ciliate pit" near the head that I found quite interesting!

Great find! Congratulation! It's surprising that the "super" head does not look big at all, but rather very well balance on the scope. Not like when I put the regular BH2 trinocular head on my BHMJ, or the newer Zeiss (white) trinocular on a GFL: the scopes look like...ET! 30 mm eyepieces are also v...

Thank you Bill & 75RR I have both the Zeiss 12V 100W halogen and 60W bulb housing.
