The radiolarian in the photo is from the slide
of Lieder 703d https://files.lieder.de/en/K32E-Alle-ww.pdf.
I usually take photos of radiolarians
with the Nikon Plan Apo 20x / 0.75
and the Olympus UMPlanFl 50x / 0.80.
Both have a working distance of 1mm.

I use a stereo microscope for viewing, cleaning and preparing specimens, but not for photography. For photography I use a home-made set...
