Sample taken from 1,000 ft up Fell End, which is in the English Lake District. 3% Iso propyl alcohol used to slow them down. Leitz Wetzlar Dialux phase x40 objective. HDMI Autofocus camera for image capture.

The subject of tissue culture intrigues me and I'm contemplating buying / making a laminar flow hood or cabinet. Does anyone have any experience in this field?
Realistically I would only be interested in UK based suppliers. I'm pretty experienced in a wide range of DIY procedures.

My concern arises from being unable to achieve Kohler illumination. I'm finding it impossible to centre the field diaphragm with the condenser centering screws. There's always a a dark crescent.

Yes I've been trying on BF but am unable to focus and centre the image of the field diaphragm. Maybe the condenser itself needs an overhaul. The centering screws are very tight.

Now I'm struggling to set up Kohler with the 402a phase condenser. This too may need an overhaul. I'll check out the site for info on doing this.
