These are not Paramecia, but hypotrich ciliates. If you look closely at the front (anterior) end of the cell, you can see polykinetids ("collar" membranelles), which are not present in Paramecium.
Thanks you! I am learning :-)

Your first picture is rotifer of some kind. Phylum Rotaria. The tail at the back is not a stinger but a means to attach to the substrate. The last two pictures are some sort of flatworm (like Planeria). Phylum Platyhelmenthes; Class Turbellaria. Thanks! the second, do you think is it possible "macr...

Aquarium's water friends :-)

Hi!

Yesterday I was searching protist in my aquarium's water. I found several types and I would like to confirm to learn more about them.

If it is neccesary, I have videos of all of them.

When I confirm all types, I will upload the videos.

Thank you!

Re: I need to come back to try (bacterias)

Most bacteria are hard to see at 640X in bright field. I am assuming you have only BF. If you can find some sort of stain, even some food colouring or turmeric, paprika, saffron( there is some very cheap saffron from China, the restaurants use), beet juice or tincture of iodine. Iodine will of cour...

I need to come back to try (bacterias)

Hi!

I come back with this matter hahaha

I want to see some bacteria. One at least... :-(

¿Which bacterias can I see with my 40x objective (and 16x ocular)? ¿How could I grow them?

I think there are 50 microns bacterias, but I don't know which of them

Thanks!

Hi!

I viewed it last night. It's smaller than others in the same water. I've calculated 20-50 microns more or less.

Is possible can I know the type of protozoo?
