Thank you. Now what would be the best practise for applying oil to both condensor and objective? Do I still setup Köhler illumination and precocious at 10, 40 and then remove slide apply oil? I think it would tricky to do with the 40x as the fwd is so small...

The scope is a Leica DM LS with the S1 condensor. The Objective is Leica N Plan.

So does this confirm that I would need to use oil on both the coverslip (top slide/coverslip and objective interface) in addition to oil on the bottom of the slide/condensor interface?

I have a 100x/ 1.25 oil objective. I also have a condensor marked 0.90/1.25 oil. I have tried using the 100x with oil and there is a smaller improvement in resolution, but I would say nowhere near 1.25. I gather that the oil also needs to be used on the condensor itself to achieve this? At this stag...

Hi all. I am looking for a good source of affordable #1.5 coverslips. Any ideas? I saw s lot of cheap #1 coverslips on eBay but not sure whether they would suffice for a 40x / 0.65 NA/0.65 objective.
