Re: Using a pair of cameras with a stereo microscope

MichealG I’ve even thought of using those swift iPhone microscope adaptors on each eyepiece-a lot of homes have more than one iPhone living there. Then you could take 4K footage from each eyepiece-again would need to adjust lineups and tilt issues in post production-MichealG are you wanting a display...

Re: DIY phase anulus with LOMO phase objectiv

Hello chrisimbee-nice kludge to get it working-is it possible to posts photos of the objectives used (especially the back side) I’m starting to understand some of the symbols relating to different properties on lomo objectives -looks like positive phase from the slight white halo around objects-they...

Re: Using a pair of cameras with a stereo microscope

Hey MichealG sound like we’ve had a similar project in mind-I too have been thinking of this for quite some time-but for video-I put on demo days about compost/organic-biodynamic farming-I’ve always wanted the demos to not be “dry”-ie put some humor into it and if there were kids attending I thought...

krame I got the image off the Olympus website explaining dark field-variable dark stops have come up a few times in the group-and I’ve got another interesting idea to tease your brain!-what if you made a combo of variable dark field stop in the middle and on the other side an iris that just closes a...

Thanks for the reply dtsh-I’ll grab one off eBay and give it a go-I like having different types of slides to play with like deep well, cavity etc so it actually seems a nobrainer to just grab one-did you find they don’t dry out as quick as a standard slide and coverslip?

If anyone has one they don’t use and wants to sell it hit me up throug PM-also want to collect all the dry PV objectives in the -h variety-negative phase-also the 63x PV in a...

So Sabatini the later pictures look way better-what did you do differently?-one downfall of the heine condenser is I often find it harder to see the phase ring compared to a turret condenser.

Hey krame great side hobby for microscopy-I don’t know how hard this would be to make but what about making a variable leaf dark field stop-photo below-they could come in different sizes for different filter holders 30mm-32mm etc-a continuously variable dark field stop-I guess it’s like an inverse i...

Very nice elvis-saya! Re: Acetaminophen

Probably depends on the additives-a lot of drugs are water soluble and some are only partially so-so I guess some could be diluted then filtered-that’s how opiate addicts extract codeine from meds with paracetamol-as codeine is very water solvable but paracetamol is way less so-so they dissolve the ...

Seems to indicate brainless microbes share Maslow's hierarchy ...

G’day chrisimbee-looking for amoeba proteus was a big priority for me as well!
