Found some bamboo at a local zoo, and threw it under the microscope Here is a short video of some of my images.

I captured several hours of the crystallization of Potassium Ferricyanide and made a timelapse video. Potassium Ferricyanide produces beautiful red crystals, and I especially like the wonderful hexagons that form and float away. Found some algae in a local pond and had a wonderful time exploring it. Algae doesn’t get enough credit, it really is amazing.

Here is several hours of copper sulphate crystal growth turned into a timelapse. Absolutely mesmerizing to see the different shapes appear and grow.

And I’m just using a regular Olympus bh2. I try to play with the lightning to get the best results.

I spent some time chasing these awesome microbes. They glide through the water with such smooth and beautiful movements, it really is fascinating to see how they live.

Does anyone know the names of these microbes? The second one in particular is truly spectacular.

Captured this very interesting look at the internal organs of a small shrimp(copepod). Really fascinating to see them semi-transparent. I always feel bad however for putting them under the microscope

What is an e800? Sorry, I’m not familiar with that.

Patience is a virtue, but I doubt you'll find anything less expensive than the couple of better-quality BX40's that have come and gone or the BH2 offered earlier for $2K plus shipping. A fully loaded bx40 with dic is going to cost ~$4k I already have the Olympus bh2 so I really don’t want to start ...
