Sadly again we live in a electronic hand held device world that many if not most will not venture out of their own little world and take another look at what real biological life is about.
I could say robot like heads but I just did.

Re: Green Onion
Nice comparison, since the vinegar is a weaker acid, could very well work better with certain dyes and worth looking at other possibilities.

Looks to be a species of jumping spider, can`t say if the heart shape is consequential to a certain species or not?? but more than likely not since markings can be different.

Some recent spider topics, I found this one.
Possible jumping spider??, not really sure, the heart on top the abdomen could be a good clue.

The yellow background is a bright colored yellow cloth above the scopes mirror. This next picture was said to be an African Locust. This was purchased about 10 years ago. The man claims it is a African Locust, I can`t say for sure. Looks to be mounted in lucite, may be something else; but a lot of s...

Dark and shinny, and not a very good subject for me to photograph.

The dark color reminds me of the bess beetle, so dark and shinny the one I have I was never able to obtain a real good photo.

Nice capture, your eggs may be a form of endolithic community of cyanobacteria.
Just a guess.

The best I can tell its part of a deer leg bone. We have white tail deer. Was dug up while I was doing some road repair on my property a while back. I cleaned the bone up for later study. I also dug up part of a stage coach axle that the design goes back to 1854, part of this axle is at our local hi...

Bone:
From an earlier topic I posted magnifier and light, I decided to take a closer look at this very old bone. At this time the stereo scope did no justice, you would be able to see the bite marks but would not be able to tell much about them; this is one case where lower magnification can be better and...

Magnifier And Light:
This light and magnifier is very handy to scan around with. With this look to be deer bone, i`m trying to determine if the marks on the surface of the bone were caused by rodent bite marks or were carved out by humans, possibly creek Indians in this area hundreds of years ago. The bone was dug out o...

Re: My deer tick encounter early spring'16
Ticks five cents each, bring a container, at this low price a container will not be provided. Now this red hot tip device will take care of ticks if you get stuck by one. Sometimes they will fall off but I have found out many times they will not if you are really stuck. The amount of time is the big...

Re: My deer tick encounter early spring'16
For me I have to live with ticks at least 10 or 11 months out of the year and with a good winter 12 months. Ticks are a very interesting subject but do not photograph all that good under the microscope for me, I have tried many, but may try a few more. I continue to roam the woods so I will not be c...

Re: My deer tick encounter early spring'16
Sometimes I think I live in tick capitol of the world, I have removed several off of me over the years. Ticks can and will leave a nasty rad bite around the infected area. Our mostly out door cat would bring ticks into our house at times which could be most of the year in my area except possibly dea...
