Re: Hello Everybody

Thanks for all the positive feedback :) @ zzffnn: All photos were shot using Canon 600D with 100mm Canon macro lens except gecko, I used 70-200 Zoom lens - hand held, no flash. All single shots, this was done before I knew there is such a thing as focus stacking  Grasshopper: f/6.7 100mm Shut...

Re: First focus stack attempt

Thanks for the feedback. The color of the pollen is the same as the petals of the flower, which I thought was interesting. @rabitt - I used 14 images @vaselle - thanks for the feedback, I was looking at your images and they are absolutely spectacular - hope to pick your brain... a lot :) - (FYI - ha...

Re: Which image processing software?

I use a Canon DSLR, take the images in RAW format, do the initial processing in Coral After Shot Pro, and the final processing in Photoshop. First focus stack attempt

This was my first attempt to focus stack. I used the software that came with my Omax camera to stack the image and then sharpened it a little in Photoshop. I'm not happy with the Omax camera quality and have ordered an attachment for my Canon 600D - hoping that will give me way better image quality....

Hello Everybody

I recently bought an Omax microscope and am very excited about my new hobby :)

After dabbling in Macro photography for a while, I am keen to explore Photomicrography.
Looking forward to learn from all of you and share my experiences as well.

I am from Johannesburg South Africa.
