That's a great book, thanks.apochronaut wrote:There are quite a few. One old but frequently abridged title is Protozoology by R.R. Kudo.

What scope best fits these requirements?
My main interest in microscopy is pond water and filming it full frame using a canon 5d mark III. Best quality possible. In the future I want to film 60 fps at 1080p. But i know cameras. Now that Im more familiar with microscopes Im still at a loss when it comes to modles and makers and lighting cap...

Is there such a thing as a rare pond water find?
Amature Astronomy has comets and asteroids. Geologists have Rhodium and meteors. Is there an equivalent rare find for pond water organisms?

Canon 5D Mark III adapter for eye peice?
Does this even exist? I checked AM scope, Amazon and ebay. I found canon adapters but in the list of compatible cameras none list the 5d mark iii. I thought there would be tons. Anyway. Does anyone here use a 5D miii in their eye piece? If so where did you get the adapter? Im using an old Nikon Labo...

Re: What is this?

I read that they are all female? EDIT just realized there is a subsection for identification. New here so...

What is this?
One of the most fascinating things I've seen through a scope. It's head retracted and turned into a propeller! Wow. Can anyone identify it?

Hello From Toronto
Hi. Just purchased a used Nikon Labophot (1 I guess). It's missing the trinocular tube for the "F" head but since you can not look through the scope and film at the same time, no big deal. I'll use the eyepiece. Anyway I'm new to all this even though I had a highschool scope (Swift m3200) since 1991...
