Charles are those olympus Eyepieces in the first scope in that lineup you posted I believe it is a WL Yes, those are Olympus eyepieces. That binoc tube is normally found on the less expensive Zeiss scopes such as the KF-2s.

Get Kpl if you are going to use any Zeiss objective other than achromats.

Thank you very Much 75rr that was a nice and expensive project though from what I have seen the WL base alone seems to be north of 400 striped!!! geezh

I think also the e-pl has the larger tube size of 30mm not compatible with the zeiss binoc tube

What about the Zeiss e-pl and pl I noticed it mentioned on several astronomy forums as the gold standard for whatever they use it for?

MY Standard MAybe 18 does not seem not to have the knob to rotate a filter out inside the nosepiece was this only aval on a polarized version of the 18 or do all 18s have the rotation knob as I have seen some in lot of images on this site.
