Thanks, yes, the subject was placed on a glass slide covered with a piece of greenish/blueish paper. The paper became a simple diffuser of the light coming from the condenser. Then I used several external light sources, a couple of Jansjö lights and a Zeiss fiber optic illuminator equipped with pin...

@Hkv, the magnification range is 1.5 to 3.5 - using 2 separate lenses - one lens covers 1.5 to 2.5 and the other lens 2.5 to 3.5 (the photo-tube extends to change the magnification)

Your photos are amazing - i did not know that is the level of detail one can see as an "amateur" astronomer.
I assume, as in the microscope world, it takes experience, skill and good equipment to take quality photos like that - very cool.
