FYI, I have friends that put up steel buildings. Not long ago they built one for a milking operation over 1300 feet long. I can get a bid for housing your Zeiss collection if you like?

I'm in the UK - that's a kind offer though. :) That <$5 book looks superb, but it's US based unfortunately - great value though! It's usually harder to take pictures with higher mag objectives since the depth of field is so shallow. Try some pictures using your 10X or 16X...What objectives do you have now with your scope? 2.5, 10, 40, 100 I really want a 63 & a 16. :-) I suspect the camera is no where near correctly set up. ...

Those are part of my Zeiss tool kit. The bamboo skewers function as a spanner wrench to adjust the tension of the condenser assembly.

I think JimT's advice on objectives is great and i intend to go that route. Do you really need another whole series of eyepieces for your new scope? Maybe start out with 10s and decide by observation of a single one that you already own if any other magnification is really doing you any good? I thin...

I am new but can say plans and acros can all be used, even mixed is no problem, in the same nosepiece. You do know neither of those scopes is likely to resolve an image of even 1000x?
