As long as you only have to adjust the focus a small amount you should be fine.

Maybe I just got lucky, but my NFK 2.5x wasn't all that expensive. I gave up looking for the 1.6x long ago.

Re: Why do these two 20x objectives have a price difference?
I once asked Amscope why different listings of seemingly the same objective were priced differently. They said it has to do with which warehouse they were from. I asked if this equated to country of origin but got no reply.

Way cool! How long did it take to print? We 3D print some prototyping parts at work, takes a while some times, but very well worth the effort.

Hello, Can you tell me how have you reversed the stage? Sorry, I have not been online lately and just now saw your question. I bought this scope brand new when they were still being built, I had them build it this way because this is the way I was accustomed to using other scopes. It might be possi...

Re: New Lomo Microscope - need further information
Hopefully you can get some satisfaction on your slides. Good quality slides and cover slips are an important part of your optical train, don't settle for bargain basement stuff. Lots of good talk here about collection methods and whatnot, but don't overlook the fact that you can get started by just ...

Re: Are cheap 100x objectives any good?
I never tried one of those super cheap ones because it just sounds "too go to be true". And such things usually are. I tried a cheap Amscope objective in my LOMO and Olympus scopes a year or two ago and ended up sending it back. One of our other group members here has had some experience with those ...

Yes, this is a good model scope and you should be able to upgrade it at very reasonable cost.
