Re: Diatom internal movements and Copepod nauplii

Second video pretty much clinches it. It is a Diatom with Brownian motion. Surprising.

Re: Is there an annoying 'robo editor' of posts we may take more than four minutes to type out?!!

I believe it is there in case the new post has information that relates to what you were about to post, say it...

Re: Reasonable Expectations for Cleanliness of New Materials

Warning - Hijacking thread! (Hope you do not mind too much) :) I do have a LOMO NA 0.95 40x with correction collar (which is a copy of old Zeiss Jena) coming to me from Russia and will comment on collar setting when I receive it. Most interesting! Will that work with a Zeiss KPL eyepiece? What is th...

Re: Unknown circles

Microscopic crop circles? Possible, only problem with that is the size of the aliens - could they really be that small? Doesn't that make space travel that much longer? Then we have the size of the microscopic wheat field, not to mention calculating the EEC farm subsidy for something that small, ca...

2.5, 10, 40, 100 I really want a 63 & a 16 My current turret has a 6.3x, 16x, 25x and a 40x, or at least it did. A 63x would be nice. Be advised though that the working distance of a dry 63x is 0.09mm In practical terms that means that you can normally switch from 6,3x to 16x to 25x to 40x but prob...

I would suggest a point and shoot with an optical zoom function and a compact digital camera mount. If possible borrow several cameras from friends and relatives to try out - some w...
