The background in your picture, does show a different colour than it should but it sounds like that is not the colour you are seeing through the eyepieces. not sure what you did there. Did you drill two holes in the front of the objective? not a good idea. The set ring in the back , keeps everything together. Older objectives can get stiff and it takes a little gentle persuasion to push the lens pack through from the front to the back. If you want to ...
