LED en Nikon Fluophot
The illuminator of the Nikon Fluophot microscope (identical to the Biophot) gave me many problems because the lamp holder was "burned" causing lighting failures due to bad contact. I decided to replace it with LED When I make an adaptation I like to keep intact (as much as possible) the original con...

Re: Cena para tres
Nicely done, Microbia! :D At first it looked like the big one had a huge advantage with the smaller ones unable to push it aside. But then it turns out that the smaller ones, being small enough to get inside the dead rotifer, get far more food than the big one. A nice illustration of how what looks...

Re: Cena para tres
Very nice video. The big ciliate is, I think, Prorodon. Cilidos very "scavengers" Thanks. I've read that Prorodon is the same as Holophrya. Now I'm confused.. Holophrya and Prorodon belongs to the same order: Prorodontidae but Holophrya is included in the family Holophryadae and Prorodon in Proront...

Heliozoa, food community
Heliozoos are usually solitary hunters. When the dam is very large, two or more Heliozoos are united to capture it, it is called the "alimentary community". Once the prey has been digested the Heliozoos separate. http://thumbs.subefotos.com/371449582ecf4658cd9818881e670945o.jpg Video https://youtu.b...

The Fluophot head is 51mm.zzffnn wrote:Thank you, Francisco.
So Nikon S head fits Fluophot without modification, correct? I am guessing PZO DIC head attachment has dovetail of 42mm?
Nikon S Head 48.4mm
PZO 42.8mm
(Measured with analog gauge, not digital)

Re: Hola. Nuevo en el foro
Hi zzffnn: Thanks for your comment I have some Lomo models: Biolam M, MBI 11, MBI 15, ML 2, MPS 1 ...... These are excellent microscopes but I use them little. I usually use the PZO because it has the DIC system. The adaptation of the PZO to the base of the Fluophot does not need any modification, e...
