I've just been 'googling' and found this:
https://www.titantoolsupply.com/uploads ... oscope.pdf
I have absolutely no knowledge of Titan or its products, but the spec. sheet is certainly interesting.

Re: Wide field of view
As promised : My Nachet stereo-zoom has 10x eyepieces The tubes are only 27mm diameter, which must restrict the field somewhat. Its Zoom objective is nominally scaled 1 to 4 A quick check reveals object field diameters between about 24mm and 6mm It does give excellent quality views, but I don't thin...

No problem ... I'm sure we can get there if people measure their various 'scopes.
I can check my Nachet stereo-zoom tonight.

Re: Wide field of view
Some numerical indication of what you consider to be a 'fantastically wide' and/or 'disappointingly narrow' field of view would be helpful. I find it convenient to print a few concentric circles of known diameter, for estimating the view at various magnifications. ... I will try attaching a PDF of m...

Regarding the problem with file size: May I suggest that you post a few 'crops' from the full-resolution image, rather than attempting to re-size it. We now know its general form, but [as ever] the real joy is in the details.

Re: Leitz SM LUX x100 objective - wrong one?
Fascinating; I didn't know there was such a thing as water-immersion objectives. Martin . I have no connection with the seller, nor any experience of this paticular model, but there are some 'New Old Stock' Russian water-immersion objectives currently on ebay: https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpr...

Re: Olympus SZ series : Questions
There is a Chinese made stereo microscope made to look very much like an Olympus; almost identical. I recall is being a 4.5x but my memory could be wrong. It may well have been made for Olympus at one time, or another. Things have gotten muddy. For the past 15 or 20 years, as major microscope mfg. ...

Thank you for the comments, BillT I will post some photos in the next couple of days, but; quite honestly, it looks exactly an Olympus to me ... except for the lack of any branding and the two features I mentioned. http://www.alanwood.net/downloads/olympus-sz30-sz40-sz60-sz11-brochure.pdf MichaelG.

Olympus SZ series : Questions
Greetings, Microbe Hunters . I have recently purchased what appears to be an Olympus StereoZoom microscope, in almost 'as new' condition. ... The original owner purchased it in 2004, at which time it was described as "unbatched". There is no serial number visible, and no Olympus markings anywhere on...
