Re: Two Amoeboids from this week
There's an app for iPhone called Light Meter. Free but with annoying ads.

According to the Nanodyne spec the LED replacement is 825 lumens. How does the brightness compare with the original 100w halogen, and does it use the ex...

Re: Photoshop CS6 v Helicon v Zerene,and the rest
That is true Viktor, but we only get 512k here for images. I resized the jpegs down three times and they were still too big, so I got fed up with it, and GIF'd them  For what you are investigating/demonstrating, Dave ... Re: Microscope Upgrade
...As such, I have looked at both Brunel , and GT Vision here in the UK, and have at the moment settled on the Brunel option. That is on the proviso that they will supply it with the standard 100x oil immersion lens, substituted with a more useful 60x Plan objective. It will have Plan objectives, a...

Re: My New Olympus BX40 -first images
I don't want to appear rude because I'm genuinely wanting to learn, but I'm struggling to understand why these photos are thought to be so good?
No part of the composite images, or the final stack, is sharp.
What am I missing?
Thanks
