Hi everybody.
There are objective cans. Is there anything similar for 23mm oculars?
Thanks.

Ceramic rods
Hi forum.
Illuminator in my fluoval 2 is badly damaged. The ceramic rod which holds the lamp is broken. Also reflecting mirror is missing.
May be somebody knows a supplier of suitable rods?
Thanks.

It is definitely not 19mm. 20 mm is too small.
I will try to find a 21mm one.

6.3x and 63x Why?
Hu forum.
I have not found a chat branch on this forum, so I will ask it here.
Why there are these strange 6.3 and 63X magnifications. Any practical or historical reasons?
Best.

Re: Cup for dip in
Hi Bob.
I was afraid so. I have seen such thing back in 80es, shown by our biology teacher, and never since.
I have none of them, but I think I can get access easily.
I will give it a try, Now sure if 3D printer is precise enough, do you have any experience.
Best.

Re: Third ocular on camera port of Fluoval mic.
Hi Bob.
The reason I wanted to buy a photo attachment is because attachments I show are not mine. And I think it is Handy to see image from trino before shooting.
The photo ocular is pretty parfocal with binocular as it is.
So I guess as you told I may try to make photo directly on the sensor.

Re: Third ocular on camera port of Fluoval mic.
OK. I figured it out. The connection on the top of trinocular is the photo tube where a photo ocular has to go. I inserted one ocular there and borrowed a photo tube adapter. Now I can see an image in the photo focusing ocular. What left is to find a photo camera adapter like this: https://rover.eba...

Re: Zeiss HI 100/1.32 objective diaphragm.
Most likely the aperture is stuck from hardened grease or immersion oil and the connection between the rind and the aperture is loose. If the aperture is stuck open you can use it perfectly for everything apart from dark field. In this case it would leave it as it is. Bob I am afraid it is somewher...

Re: 37mm condenser with Amplival/Fluoval?
Hi Bob.
Thanks.
I had a look on manual for of amplival. And there is something similar to what I was asking. But I cannot locate proper name for it. A colleague has a Meopta analog of NF stand. I may try his condenser to answer question about compatibility.

37mm condenser with Amplival/Fluoval?
Hi everybody.
For my Fluoval microscope I have 1.4NA condenser
Have anybody heart of a condenser mount for an Amplival microscope which would allow mounting standard 37mm condenser?
Thanks.

As for imaging I think for now I will stuck to ocular camera put into one of the binoculars. Ultimately I want to connect a Nikon D5100. Probably in the way described here:

Tight dovetail screw?
Hi forum
I have a couple of tight dovetail screws which are hard to rotate. Any advice how to take them apart? Some I can soak in hexane or isopropanol. Some I will try to heat up but may be somebody has it disassembled so I could see how to take it apart.
Thanks.

Hi Bob and Hobbist46. Thanks for safety reminder. About the laser I was trying to be funny :). I actually never heard of anybody using safety goggles against UV in microscopy. We do use IR goggles but usually there is some protection shield on a mic itself. As about movements it is not bad. Focus wo...

Re: Third ocular on camera port of Fluoval mic.
Hi Bob. Thanks for reply. I am a bit lost in used terminology. By projective I guess you mean photo ocular. Am I right? And what is straight tube? As about dangers I think I do. Most important is not to look into laser beam with remaining eye. But if you tell me some dangers I don't know I will appr...

If the top gadget is a USB eyepiece camera, and if you intend to continue using this camera,... It is basically a small CCD array. And it works if I stuck it instead on the trinocular. Hi Bob. That's a nice fluorescent mic indeed. There are parts stuck in grease and some dust cleaning is needed but that I will manege. Taking into account that I stopped it from being thrown away I am very happy. When I took it to my office it was covered in dust of broken cover slides. Apparently i...

Re: Third ocular on camera port of Fluoval mic.
Hi Bob. I wanted to add pictures but it had to wait till I get to my PC to downsize them. I think the black vertical adapter is not for camera port but for changing ocular angle in a microscope where tube is angled. So the question is if I can some how put an ocular on this port. I actually was able...
