Maybe a 16 bit install of Win10 will work? Worth trying.

Re: Found: Olympus CH2-FS: to implement Kohler

Hi, Bombust. I was lucky and bumped into one in my regular micro group. Have been looking around for awhile though  According to some the move from critical illumination on a standard CH2 configuration to a Kohler based setup does not bring you much, not even contrast improvement when taking pi...

Re: BH2 BHS MTV

Look at this on eBay
Olympus OM Lens to Nikon Camera F mount adapter D7200 D810a D5500 D4 D750 D3300

It replaces the Olympus mount on the L adapter.
Note: the bolts do not fit perfectly and require some work (they stick out 0.3 mm and scratch the nikon mount).

Best, deBult.

Found: Olympus CH2-FS: to implement Kohler

Hello,

Looking for an Olympus CH2-FS: this will implement Kohler for the CH2 microscope.

The CH2-FS set contains :
- a diaphragm frame (field iris) to be placed on the light exit
- an additional collector lens to be placed in the existing CH2 condenser

Thank You,

Re: Botanic section from paraffin block with unreadable label

Bob,

Sorry, do not know what paraffin make they were referring to, no practice myself yet.

Still exploring hand cuts using a simple table microtome here.

Re: Botanic section from paraffin block with unreadable label

Ha Bob,

I went to a slide making training session last month, no practice in the wax-cutting area myself: they recommended adding 5% bee-wax to the mix to improve the cutting capability. An option when re-embedding?

Re: Olympus CH series compatibility

To my knowledge The CH20 series uses a 6 V 20 W – Philips 7388.

As per my provided TDKK link: they supply a LED module that simply replaces the 7388 : 1 minute exchange and done.

Re: Botanic section from paraffin block with unreadable label

Bob,

You might try re-heating the block to say 45 (and 50 etc) Centigrade and see whether the wax resets to a more easy state to process.

Re: Olympus CH series compatibility

Suggest to inquired at https://www.tdkk.nl/. They specialise in LED lights for microscopes.

Their website is in Dutch and (partially) in English.

No connection just a satisfied customer.

Hallo Jan, An idea maybe: a Dutch company Triple M Audio In Rhenen specialises in audio repair including tube audio. They do rebuild (audio) trafo’s and usually like a challenge. You could give them a call an see whether they can be of any help. Alternative is Joop Microscoop in Koekange info@tdkk.n...
