Re: Microscope Cameras?

Yes me too (the older version). I was introduced to microscopy by my wife's interest in fungi, attending many week long residential courses over the years here in Germany on the subject. https://www.lwl-naturkundemuseum-muenster.de/de/heiliges-meer/ Of necessity that involved looking through microsc...

Re: Leica DC100 microscope camera

Wow and that's a Compaq PC.

Edit: With 5.25 and 3.5 floppy disk's. It maybe even has a 5 Gbyte hard drive. I would think that the PC was well before 2000 maybe even the late 1980's I would have to look at my old CV to see when I was working with them.

Edit: Removed post as I thought you were a beginner (it is in beginners section), but I see by reading your signature that you already have a 18mp camera, so my post was irrelevant.

Re: Phototube needed to connect Leitz diaplan with Canon EOS 5d mark III

You should ask einman he has a Leitz Diaplan with what looks like a camera mounting on the phototube.

See here: viewtopic.php?t=6034

Hope that helps he may be able to tell you where he got it, or how he did it and what the part number is.

Re: Condenser correction types - how to test a condenser?

Really excellent video. I tried to search for Peter Evernett on the internet but didn't come up with any results. By his delivery he must have been on the lecture circuit for many years as he had all the mannerisms of the perfect speaker. He could be a research professor as it would seem from his pr...

Welcome to the forum and congratulations on a fine microscope (I also have a Bresser infinity microscope) and have recently attached a Canon EOS 4000d camera to the trinocular port. MichaelG. Hi I had noticed that when I making the first few stacks with Picolay that some parts seemed to change and others not when looking at the two directions high to low and low to high. the two different pollen grains must be sitting at different levels on the slide (I hadn't pressed on the co...

Re: Which Software For Image Capture and Editing

Hi MichaelG

Thanks for your very detailed look at my images and for the information about only needing the first two from the stack, I will try that out later and see if it makes any difference to the final image quality of my first try with PS.

Re: Which Software For Image Capture and Editing

Here it is. File size is a little bit larger but image size is almost identical. That's strange I copied your image from the website and I get an image size of 1329 x 884, which of course I can't upload due to the maximum image size of 1024 x 1024. So here it is at 1024 https://www.irista.com/galler...

Re: Which Software For Image Capture and Editing

I have compared my original PS stack which I thought was the best out of my trials to your much reduced upload on the forum and it is a bit like the vicars sandwich 'good in parts' i.e. some parts are better than others so I would think that your original image must be much better than my original P...

Looking at your results under windows photos I think the very first image seems to have more contrast than the other four other than that they all look much the same to me. I wont be able to compare them against the image I uploaded simply because of the number of pixels (but I will have a look anyw...
