Hello,
I searched the internet for some informations but to no avail.
I want to make some permanent slides of lichens, flowers, leaves, mosses.
The thing is, I don't know how. Am I supposed to dry mount them ? Use alcohol ?
I cannot find any modus operandi about that.
I hope some of you know
Thanks !

Would glycerol work too with regular leaves or botanical specimens ?MichaelG. wrote: ↑Thu Dec 03, 2020 10:36 pmUseful four-page paper available here:

... I know it’s recommended for pollen.

Before you ask ... I had no idea what a ‘lutant’ was, so I went searching:

When I tried to dry the leaf specimens using alcohol I got a crumbling mess. I mounted them "fresh cut" and used CVA adhesive as a mounting medium. They are now over a year old and still look great. Did I just get lucky?
I don't really know. With a limited budget I often have to make do rather than make right.
