Hey guys, i am starting to get tired of watching bacteria.
I like to use pond water but i my samples dont have a lot of variety.
I would like to know what do you do to find new specimens and materials to explore.

Maybe should i take some leaves and grass and mixing them with water so i can see some Life there?
Leave a open petri dish outside with water and see how is doing after a week?

What techniques do you use for finding live worth a watch?

Thanks!

I often take samples from many different places. For example, water in the saucers under flower pots are great, and also just from the soil in them. Puddles can be good too, as well as just anywhere with water. I have a few ecospheres/contained ecosystems set up with material from such places.

I also have a saltwater aquarium, made almost entirely with materials sourced from a (somewhat) local beach, and that aquarium is great for taking samples from occasionally.
