Is histoclear miscible with Iso propyl alcohol; that is can I transfer specimens from Ipa to histoclear and then mount in numount?

I believe I know the first part, if I'm interpreting your question correctly.
IPA to histoclear is fine.
I'm think, but am not sure, that histoclear --> numount is also ok.
Though perhpas someone can chip in a more definate answer.

Yes, Numount with Histoclear (original version I) is the 'killer combination' that I use exclusively - it gives beautifully clear, stable and thin mounts when used properly. I use Histoclear to thin my Numount, the two go together perfectly and permanently - if it's good enough for the (British) Natural History Museum it's good enough for me! :D :D
