Containets

#1 Post by Glot » Fri Nov 22, 2019 8:05 am

I am looking for clear containers to keep sand size particles in for viewing. I have some 60mm petri dishes but would prefer a secure lid. I have considered coin containers but I would also like something a bit deeper for larger specimens. Any suggestions? 25 to 50mm dia about. Not critical. Using a stereo so working distance not an issue.

Search eBay for '25ml PET pots', you might find something suitable. Be aware most plastic containers have a 'spru' protrusion in the base (injection point for the plastic in the mould). This may or may no be a problem when observing samples in the container.

Thanks. Also found some make up containers and gem containers.
