Wild Heerbrugg collectors.

I'm curious about the Wild trinocular photo tube.
The Zeiss Standard has a sliding prism so 100% of the light goes to the occulars or to the camera.
The Wild seems to be a beam splitter? Does this effect the brightness in either direction?

There are three different types of photo tubes. The first type, H, is a fixed beam splitter which gives you 25% of the light through the binocular tubes and 75% through the photo tube. Type HU has a three position changer which gives you 100% light to binocular or 100% to photo tube or the third position will give you 25% to the binoc and 75% to the photo tube. The HZ is the horizontal photo tube and it will also only gives you 25% to binoc and 75% to the photo.tube. Of course the better one to get is the HU with the three positions.

Sounds like I'm getting the best results just pulling an occular and slipping the camera in.
